We tried that year, in 2017, on Kiwi, when there have been those days of cold: We have tried with a costumer, Vanni, Because actually he was in a situation a very similar to the previous year’s, Because that season was in advance, so the fruitlet was well-developed yet.

Practically this costumer who had the anti-frost product, He had to choose between using the product or starting to close close the protective nets because of the hail.

He chose to close the nets for the hail and to treat with the product for the cold spike.

And there we got the result: it really did a good job because Vanni’s Kiwi, Amanta’s, Ponso’s were visible… The difference was immediately visible and, 2 or 3 days later, it was visible on leaves, and a month later you could notice it on the quality of fruits!

Where he treated you could see the difference on fruits, and Vanni thought it wasn’t because of the product, but next to him, on the other side, there was Foglio that had the Kiwi grown with the same cultivation method, so when he started picking he said “No, no… there’s difference” because in that spot his field ended and the other one started So he told me “All right, I can’t argue with that” because there actually was a difference.

– We used one pound per ton, and we use 1000 liters per hectare, So it’s one liter per hectare, because we treat with 1000 liters.

I put one pound per ton there, and in two steps it’s 2 kg in total, because initially we decided to use a full dose, Then they told me “No, let’s divide the dose and make two steps” – Yes sometimes it’s more convenient, when there are less adverse conditions, – but unfortunately you only know that later – to decrease, use the minimal dose, but repeat the treatment.

We have noticed it in 2017 when, the costumer that used a full dose of it on Kiwi had a good result, Unlike who used a minimal dose of it.

There was no proper condition this year, but if it will be cold I think that 1 kg could be… – A bit thin… – We have seen it in 2017: it worked for Vanni where he used 1,5kg of it, he listened to us and he used it 48 hours before the alleged event: he used it on Saturday and there had been a cold spike on Tuesday night for the first time,  going on from Tuesday to Wednesday and Thursday…  To those who have use it on Monday, I said: “Consider that… they told us that it doesn’t work if used less than 48 hours away” – It doesn’t work!
