I produce twelve months a year, my company operates on an Italian wholesale distribution, I started with horticulture and..
it’s been two years now, we work with ten different Italian markets.
For six months in Winter I mainly produce lettuce, in Summer I produce tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergines:
these are basically the articles that I produce the most… Then.. in some space on the ground left between an
article and another I grow some zucchini, some beans… My technician is amzing: Giorgio Perbellini; in my opinion he is the best: he is always available, he sees all the problems from right here till down there, so… and then he gives me advice, and by the way,
he suggested me to use the right products!
What did you discover?
He told me: “Listen, there’s this product that… if it gets really cold, it may cover crops… At the time, I was very ignorant…
it was only a year since I started, I had produced gentilina lettuce, lettuce in the greenhouse as usual; without using a double
nylon as a protection, without rain (tecnica di protezione?)… I had no idea that the lettuce suffered
so much the cold! I mean, I though: “I’ll close the doors, I’ll cover them, everything should be fine!”
By sheer coincidence, that year temperatures dropped to -17 degrees.
then temperature reached its peak of -17, it didn’t last long, but it was extremly cold.
Then Giorno told me” Listen, there is this product..
I don’t think it’ll save your crops, but give it a try!” I tried… honestly, also the man who sells the product came here- I think he was your seller, I’m not sure-, he came in January to check on the lettuce, he had only one nylon… it was all harvestable!
Without any problem.
I did just what my technician told me to do three repeated treatments, with the dose indicated by my technician.
Without doing much the lettuce turned beautiful!
By the way that year lettuce worthed some money, so… I was happy.
